DESIGNER FOR A DAY
The Designer For a Day service is right for you if you are interested in getting Kara’s design expertise, but you are not ready for Full Service Interior Design. This design service offers you a condensed amount of Kara’s time, design advice, guidance and ideas, and allows you to purchase items directly from local showrooms and stores. Kara will expect you to steer the conversation and have specific questions, design ideas and inspiration. If you have stores in mind that you would like to visit, that is always helpful, but not expected; Kara has an array of local stores and showrooms that she frequently shops! You can let Kara shop on her own or you can come along for the shopping spree.

OPTION 1: ACCESSORIES FOR THE HOME
This is the right design service for you if you have the main furniture items in your home and you are not looking for a full room re-design with a furniture layout or detailed drawings. Instead, you are looking for Kara’s expertise to accessorize and give your home the “finishing touches” to pull it all together.
Kara will visit your home where you will both spend about an hour reviewing your project and expectations. Kara will take any notes, pictures and measurements needed during the home walk through. After Kara has gathered all necessary information, it is time to head out to local stores and showrooms to shop for your home! During this shopping experience, Kara is there to give you advice and suggestions on what to buy, based on her notes taken from the walk through of your home. Once all purchases have been made, it is time to head back to your home and unload all of your new items. At this time, you can sit back and relax. For the last couple of hours of the day, Kara will be there to place all the new accessories in your home to give it that completed look.
OPTION 2: KITCHEN OR BATH FINISHES AND FIXTURES
This is the right service for you if you are working on a kitchen or bath renovation and have the floor plan decided but you need help selecting your finishes and fixtures. We will have a full day of visiting multiple showrooms. We will meet at some of Kara’s go-to suppliers and choose all of the finishes and fixtures for your renovation project; finishes and fixtures include tile, cabinets, countertops, flooring, hardware, sinks, appliances and faucets. You will leave this meeting with complete finish and fixture selections to pass onto your contractor!
Important Notes regarding both options:
This design service is a flat fee and is limited to a maximum of 8 hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) of Kara’s design and shopping time
This service does not include selecting custom furniture, custom window treatment or wall covering selections
This service does not include any architectural drawings. EX: floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations or electrical drawings.
